ASAP Helps Seymour City Hall Tackle Stress with Free Prevention Workshop
We recently had the privilege of spending a transformative day at Seymour City Hall, where we shared our "Managing the Stress Cycle" workshop, led by Skye Nichoson of Soul’s Truth Coaching, with city employees.
This engaging session, part of our comprehensive Rethinking Wellness initiative, addresses a critical need in our workforce – with studies finding a significant association between work stressors and substance use.
Through a dynamic blend of conversational support, evidence-based education, and community engagement, this workshop equips participants with practical tools to break free from destructive patterns and build healthier, more sustainable lifestyles. Our approach goes beyond traditional stress management, focusing on understanding and completing the stress response cycle in ways that promote lasting well-being.
Workshop participants embark on a journey of discovery, gaining valuable insights into:
The fundamental role of self-care in completing the stress response cycle
Understanding the crucial distinction between numbing and nourishing self-care behaviors
Personal stress response patterns through guided self-evaluation
Practical, daily tactics for completing the stress cycle effectively
The workshop is a cornerstone of our broader Rethinking Wellness initiative, which aims to empower adults to reassess their current health practices and develop sustainable habits that enhance overall well-being while reducing the risk of substance misuse. This proactive approach is particularly vital given the strong connection between workplace stress and potential substance use challenges.
Is your workplace ready to prioritize employee wellness? We invite organizations throughout our community to request the FREE "Managing the Stress Cycle" workshop for their teams. Additionally, we offer several other free workshops designed to support individual and organizational well-being.
